Tim McCoy, PE, PTOE

Tim has nearly 20 years of experience, 18 with GCW, in transportation planning and design. He has managed transportation projects for state and local agencies and regional transportation authorities throughout Nevada. Projects include urban arterials, rural highways, freeways and transit corridors. He is responsible for overseeing the roadway design group and coordinating in-house design teams including traffic, drainage, survey/right-of-way, structural and electrical. Tim is certified as a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) and also is involved with projects related to traffic design (signing, striping, and signals), traffic control plans, ITS, and community connections through recreational open spaces, trails, and parks. Additionally, he supervises the activities and products of the technical division providing specifications and construction contract document management services, as well as oversees the GCW utility departments who design new or rehabilitated infrastructure related to Water, Sewer, and Electrical Engineering, and Alternative Energy products. Moreover, Tim manages the administrative staff; scheduling support services for overall office operations.
