Flood Control |
|
Flood control engineering focuses on the protection of life and property,
often via inlet/outlet structures, detention basins, dams, embankment and spillway design, sedimentation and erosion control,
storm drain pipes, open channels, levees, weirs, and culverts. Our experience has trained our engineering staff to explore
reliable methods of predicting storm run-off via the study of precipitation patterns, soil types, topographic features, and
land uses, as well as applying scientific principles to understand the behavior of water at rest or in motion to efficiently
design flood control facilities that are functional and practical.
